ROB SAYS: Tips for ESL Students Practice and Enjoy Decompress, Relax, and Enjoy, three words that an ESL student must remember. Learning a language should be less stressful as possible. Language should be experienced on a daily basis. Spending too much time in your room memorizing words and sentence patterns is not always beneficial. Go out and experience the language. Talk to people, practice, practice. Make an effort to speak to your friends in English. I know it is hard but the benefits are tremendous. Never mind if your sentences are incorrect in the beginning, the key is to become comfortable speaking English. For instance, Lizzie and Shane were two of my former Korean students in the Philippines. Normally, they spoke in English when they were taking to me or if I was listening to them talk. But one time while we were in a taxi, I overheard Lizzie and Shane talking to each other in English. It was just the two of them. They were completely oblivious of me. I was amazed and delighted. No wonder their English skills were better than some Koreans, they made it a point to practice even when they were not in class. So go ahead. Practice Practice Practice. |
TOEIC SURVEY 2007
Hello Guys & Gals. I’m doing a research project for Nine One One Language School. I want to know if my TOEIC Listening Group class is helping my students get higher scores in the TOEIC. Even if you did not take my TOEIC class, please answer the following questions below. As long as you enrolled in any 911 classes (Man-to-Man or nay group classes), you are still part of this survey. Survey Questions: - Did you take the TOEIC BEFORE studying in 911? What was your score? Where did you take it?
- Did you take the TOEIC WHILE studying in 911? What was your score? Where did you take it?
- Did you take the TOEIC AFTER studying in 911? What was your score? Where did you take it?
- How many times did you take the TOEIC?
- Are you satisfied with your score?
- What suggestions can you give to improve the TOEIC classes in 911?
I promise to keep the information you will give me confidential.
Thanks a lot. Please email your answer to tutor_rob@yahoo.com or robsanmig911@hotmail.com.
